9th Annual UT Violin Festival

October 1-2, 2016

violinWelcome to the ninth annual University of Tennessee School of Music Violin Festival. Tennessee's unique event offers a weekend of learning and musical celebration to violinists of all ages and levels. Come and experience this world-class event!

This year, the festival organizers are excited to present our special guest faculty and artist, Andrzej Grabiec, Professor of Violin at University of Houston.

Professor Grabiec will present a master class and perform a violin and piano recital together with pianist and UT Faculty Member, Dr. Chih-Long Hu. Additionally, he will join the University of Tennessee Symphony Orchestra for a solo performance, led by our Orchestra Director, Maestro James Fellenbaum.

Numerous violin workshops and activities will be led by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable violin pedagogues in the East Tennessee region. A grand gala closing concert will include performances by an all-violin orchestra and UTVF Chamber Ensemble. Last year, over one hundred violinists from Tennessee as well as several from out-of-state and abroad registered and participated in this exciting festival.

Participants of the festival will also have the opportunity to attend master classes, lectures and performances by the UTVF faculty.

Hope to see you there!
