Welcome to the fourth annual University of Tennessee School of Music Violin Festival. Tennessee’s unique event offers a weekend of learning and musical celebration to violinists of all ages and levels. Come and experience this world-class event!

Playing violinsThis year, the festival organizers are excited to present our special guest faculty and artist, Professor Federico Agostini from Indiana University’s Jacob School of Music. Professor Agostini is a world-renowned soloist and former concertmaster of the legenday Italian ensemble I Musici.

Professor Agostini will present a master class and perform a violin and piano recital together with pianist,Claude Cymerman. Additionally, UTVF Co-Directors Miroslav Hristov and Mark Zelmanovich will join Professor Agostini in a performance of J.S. Bach's Concerto for Three Violins and Orchestra, accompanied by the UTVF Advanced Ensemble.

Numerous violin workshops and activities will be led by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable violin pedagogues in the East Tennessee region. A grand gala closing concert will include performances by an all-violin orchestra, UTVF chamber ensemble, and the violin festival faculty. Last year, over one hundred violinists from Tennessee as well as several from out-of state and abroad registered and participated in this exciting festival.

Participants of the festival will also have the opportunity to attend master classes, lectures and performances by the UTVF faculty.
