Music Minor

A minor in music offers students the opportunity to take lessons on their instrument, perform in ensembles and take music classes.

Students wishing to minor in music must apply to the School of Music and, if the minor includes music performance classes, must audition for the School of Music.

The School of Music currently offers minors in Applied Music, Musicology and Music Theory. The minor consist of 15-17 hours of study in courses numbered 200 and above. (There may also be some prerequisite courses.)
