The 5th Annual UT School of Music
Honors Festival
for Band, Choir, Jazz, Keyboard & Orchestra

May 16-18, 2008

Congratulations! Your hard work and talent have distinguished you from your peers as one of the finest young musicians in the United States. You are among a highly selected number of students chosen to receive this honor.

The University of Tennessee is deeply committed to supporting the Performing Arts and would like to reward hard working young musicians by providing this opportunity at NO COST. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the Knoxville campus.

Highlights:

  • Perform in an exclusive band, choir, jazz, or orchestra ensemble
  • Work with talented conductors
  • Receive instruction from the world-class UT School of Music faculty
  • Attend a recital featuring the UT School of Music faculty
  • Meet and rehearse with other highly talented high school musicians
  • Stay in University of Tennessee Housing (experienced supervision provided)
  • Perform a concert in the new James R. Cox Auditorium

On Sunday, May 18, each participant and his/her family and high school music teacher are invited to attend a catered luncheon to be held on campus at the UC Ballroom. For questions regarding this festival, please call (865) 974-8935.
