Scholarships
The School of Music offers over $150,000 a year in student scholarships. All students are considered for scholarships when they audition for entrance to the School of Music. However, some scholarships have special requirements:
Band Scholarships
Stipends are given to wind, brass and percussion students for participation in marching band, pep band, and one of the concert bands (Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, or Concert Band). For more information, contact the Band Office.
Grace Moore Vocal Scholarships
To be eligible for a Grace Moore Vocal Scholarship, you must be a resident of or born in the State of Tennessee and have graduated from high school between June 2005 and June 2009. Deadline for application: at least one week before the audition date you select.

National Piano Scholarships
The University of Tennessee National Piano Scholarship Competition is open to all piano students who are planning to enter college as a piano major in performance or piano pedagogy. All awards are made to incoming UT students only. A preliminary live audition or CD recording is necessary for participation in the National Piano Scholarship Competition. See the webpage for more information. You must complete a separate application form for this scholarship.
