Thank you for your interest in the University of Tennessee School of Music!

Auditions for entry to the School of Music in Fall 2010 are scheduled as follows:

  • December 12, 2009: Voice (undergraduate), Woodwinds, Music Education, Musicology
  • January 16, 2010: Band (for music majors), Brass, Percussion, Strings, Voice (undergraduate), Woodwinds, Music Education, Musicology, Theory/Composition
  • January 23, 2010: Band (for music majors), Brass, Jazz, Keyboard, Percussion, Voice (graduate), Woodwinds, Music Education, Musicology, Theory/Composition
  • January 30, 2010: Band (for music majors), Brass (no tuba/euphonium), Jazz, Keyboard, Percussion, Strings, Woodwinds (no flute), Music Education, Musicology, National Piano Scholarship Competition
  • February 6, 2010: Voice (graduate), Grace Moore Voice Scholarship Finals

Auditions for non-majors wanting to be in the Marching Band:

  • March 20, 2010
  • March 27, 2010

In addition to auditioning for the School of Music, you also need to apply to UT. For more information, check with Undergraduate admissions or Graduate Admissions.

Deadlines for Application to UT

  • Undergraduate Freshman students: December 1
  • Undergraduate Transfer students: June 1
  • Undergraduate International students: February 1
  • Graduate student admission: December 15
  • Graduate teaching Assistantships: December 15

School of Music Open House

On February 28, 2010 the School of Music will host an Open House for interested students. We encourage high school juniors, sophomores and even freshman to attend! (More information will be coming soon.)
