Graduate Assistantships

Girl Reading Music

Graduate assistantships (GA) and graduate teaching assistantships (GTA) are available in performance, education, conducting, theory, and musicology. Applicants for assistantships must submit, in addition to the application materials, an Application for Graduate Assistantships in Music. With the exception of the Application for Admission, all materials should be submitted directly to the Coordinator for Graduate Studies in Music. Applicants who wish to be considered for an assistantship in music theory/ear training are also required to take diagnostic examinations in these areas. These examinations can be taken at the time of the audition/interview. Arrangements can be made through the Associate Director for Graduate Studies in Music.
