    Beethoven Celebration: The Violin Concerto
    Piotr Tchaikovsky’s exciting Capriccio Italien begins this program, which continues the celebration of Ludwig van Beethoven in a performance of his beautiful Violin Concerto in D Major, featuring internationally-renown violin soloist Alex Kerr, professor of violin at Indiana University, Bloomington, and former concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebeouw Orchestra, Amsterdam.

    Robert Young is a candidate for the Doctor of Music Degree in Performance from the University of Michigan, where he studies with Mr. Donald Sinta. Originally from South Carolina, Bobby returns to his native region for a series of recitals. Please join us for a 5PM RECITAL as we host one of the best and brightest young saxophonists on the scene today, along with champion collaborative pianist, Jun Okada, from E. Lansing, MI.

    Friday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m.
    Wesley Baldwin, cello; presents a recital in celebration of Elliot Carter's 100th birthday. This faculty and guest artist recital will be performed by UT collaborative piano professor Kevin Class and guest artist soprano Melisa Barrick. The program includes the Piano Sonata, the Cello Sonata, the Robert Frost Songs, and the Warble for Lilac-time.
