Concerts and Events

The School of Music at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville offers more than 200 performances and events each year. Unless otherwise noted, all concerts are FREE and open to the public. Most concerts and events will be in one of three performance halls on campus: Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center located at 1741 Volunteer Boulevard; James R. Cox Auditorium and Performance Hall 32, both in the Alumni Memorial Building located at 1408 Middle Drive.

  • Young Pianist Series: Tristan Teo
    Guest artist recital; Tristan Teo is the final performer in the 3-part 2017 Evelyn Miller Young Pianist Series, bringing today's top young pianistic talent to the Knoxville stage. Tristan Teo, nineteen, was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He is both a fourth-year bachelor’s and first-year master’s student in the highly selective Accelerated BM/MM Program at The Juilliard School. In addition to his musical studies, Tristan teaches piano to undergraduate and graduate instrumental music students at Juilliard. He is also a teaching fellow for Juilliard’s Music Advancement Program, a Saturday instrument instruction program for talented children from backgrounds under-represented in American performing arts. Tickets: $25 for adults. Children and students are free. College-aged students will be asked to show a school ID.
